This is just one of the many mechanical install projects we have performed. For more information on our full breadth of experience, reach out to our team today.
These projects were part of our client's phase 1 plan for a new refined products terminal in Pasadena, Texas.
H+M’s scope was only part of the overall plan to get the terminal completed and commissioned on time as ships had already been scheduled to unload and put the terminal in operation. H+M was under pressure to deliver the project.
The project’s main challenges included the site conditions and terrain which made it very difficult to bring materials to the site, set up cranes, and execute the work. The schedule to complete was of concern and there were many other contractors to coordinate with.
H+M was able to complete both projects safely and on time for the client to receive their first ship at the terminal. Site conditions were mitigated as best as possible including bringing in mats to aid in the movement of equipment to perform the work inside of the vaults. An underground pipe installation plan, which included dewatering, was put in place and executed and UG pipe installed successfully. Coordinated with other contractors to plan work that was in the same area (SIMOPS).
